My rice fish love this, I used to keep a bag of this outside for my pond but I think a local cat couldn’t resist and took my medakas favorite food. I’ve seen it in the garden since by the pond, I keep my new bag inside now. Everyone is happy now, except the cat… and also I crush a pinch between my fingers to turn it to powder for the babies and they love it too! If you don’t have a way to seperate the adults from the fry then they’ll get eaten up, I have used a turkey baster to suck up the fry and a small plastic shot glass to scoop up the babies as well because the adults are harder to wrangle than the babies. But feed this food to them and they will come to the surface when you come.
These are my Mariagi long fin Rice Fish. I use this with live brine to maintain several lines of Medaka. I keep it in a plastic condiment squeeze bottle. Works great for adults, juveniles and some other nano fishes
The fish love it! It also floats well which is perfect for watching the Medaka eat, and helps reduce waste with falling food. It can also easily be pinched and crushed to feed fry. Great value for this amount. I refill my empty bug bites containers with it. Oh, the other fish and shrimp love this food too. ;)
My rice fish really seems to enjoy this food! It floats longer than some other foods I've used and allows them to get to it before it sinks to the bottom which is definitely their preference.
If you are looking for food for rice fish fry, it's still a little too big.
